How to get there
The car-free holiday destination Braunwald is located in the southernmost part of the Glarus region, on a gently sloping and southeast-facing sun terrace, high above the Linth Valley, at an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level. This situates Braunwald far from hustle and traffic. The wonderful panorama of the Glarus Alps with Ortstock, Tödi, Biferten, and Hausstock is within reach. "Ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday!"
By train:
With the S25 directly from Zurich Main Station to the Glarus region
Train connection with express trains (IC from Basel and EC from Berlin/Hamburg/Amsterdam/Brussels) via Zurich every hour directly to Linthal-Braunwaldbahn. Take the S25 at xx.43 from Zurich HB.
The S25 is part of the Zurich S-Bahn. With the S25, you travel the fastest way to Zurich and back.

From Zurich in about 70 minutes.
Attention! Very important!! You can only drive by car to Linthal. There is no road leading to Braunwald!!

The Braunwald funicular:
The funicular runs daily from 5:55 a.m. - 11:55 p.m. at half-hourly intervals during peak hours, and at hourly intervals during off-peak hours.
